Saturday Lunch
Cass Community Social Services (CCSS) prepares 20,000 meals a week that are served to homebound seniors, homeless people, two hospitals for adults with mental illness and the Detroit Police Department.
Each Saturday CCSS provides a Saturday Community Lunch to accommodate people in a variety of situations: homeless individuals, senior citizens, low income families in the area and sometimes volunteers doing physical labor at the church and/or center.

Warmth Through Giving
Shopping & Giving Made Easy:
Have a new, gently used coat you aren’t getting enough use out of? Donate it this season for homeless men in Detroit. OR new gear for kids.
Drop it off at the Gifte-D: A Boutique at Compuware pop-up shop on Monroe Street this Friday and every Friday through December 24th (11am-9pm, except early 3pm closing Christmas Eve)
100 Coats in 10 Days
Help us get just 10 coats a day for 10 days. Viola! 100 Coats! Mostly for the areas houseless men.
While you’re a it…throw in some gloves, hats, scarves and socks! We’ll take anything someone else could still use. If they’re for kids, let’s get some crispy new gear!
The coats will be going to the guests of the Spirit of Hope Church’s Saturday Soup Kitchen. They also have an amazing urban farm on the property!
