Looking for Youth Leadership in the North End

The North End Central Woodward Governing Board is in need of 2 youth ages 12 thru 21 who live in the boundaries of the North End Central Woodward area (I-94 to the south, I-75 to the east, Caniff/Woodland/Oakman to the north, and Linwood to the west). An application is due on Friday, December 17th to Vanguard Community Development Corporation located at 2785 East Grand Boulevard, Detroit, MI 48211 at I-75. They can also be emailed or faxed in. Meetings are once a month and we have 3 youth seats with one already filled.

Help us protect Detroit’s water!

Sierra Club is getting ready to kickoff some workshops in Detroit that
include how to do a water audit, disconnect downspouts, make and install rain barrels, and much more!

We need your help!

Join us on Wednesday, December 8 at 5:30pm at Biggby Coffee.

Biggby Coffee is located at 4501 Woodward Avenue (between Mack and Warren).

We need help picking locations for workshops. We need help setting up at events throughout the year. We need help posting events on Facebook and in newspapers. We need help tabling at events. We need help writing letters to the editor. We need your help!!! Will you volunteer? Perhaps it can be your New Year’s Resolution?
