Undoing Racism in the Detroit Food System Monthly Gathering
This Saturday, February 5, 1 to 3pm
Location: The MSU Center, 3408 Woodward Ave., Detroit.
Update: This Saturday’s gathering has been re-focused to offer a guided model for standing in solidarity with anti-racist action in the current Detroit Water & Sewerage takeover efforts.
To prepare for this discussion please consider reading the legislative proposal HOUSE BILL No. 4112 and local media coverage. Also, note the upcoming events and links to take action on this issue, they are listed below.
We will also hold space to honor, respect and celebrate Rosa Park’s birthday, which is February 4th. “At the time I was arrested I had no idea it would turn into this. The screening of “The House We Live In”, episode 3 of the 2003 PBS series, “Race, the Power of an Illusion” that was planned for this month will be shared at a future gathering.

Water Rights/Takeover Effort Events:

The People’s Water Board Coalition is screening the film “The Water Front” and hosting a community discussion on the takeover efforts on February 16th at 7pm in Eastern Market’s heated Shed 5, located at he
corner of Russell & Alfred.
Please take action by reading HOUSE BILL No. 4112 and calling the Governor, your State Representative and Senator, and other allies about this issue.
