Friends of Belle Isle Lake Muskoday Habitat Restoration Project on Belle Isle

February 22, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

As part of the Friends of Belle Isle Lake Muskoday Habitat Restoration Project on Belle Isle, the Marsh Monitoring Program will be providing free training on surveying wetlands for birds and amphibians. Although our focus is on Belle Isle, volunteers from other Wayne County wetland sites are also welcome.

The typical time required to survey one route is 12 hours per year. This is a great opportunity to train volunteers to monitor the many wetland and riparian restoration projects that are presently underway in Wayne County. Funding for the Lake Muskoday project was provided by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
