THE HISTORIC BOSTON-EDISON ASSOCIATION HOSTS

Third Annual Garden Tour

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing will serve as the Honorary Chair for the Historic Boston-Edison Association’s Third Annual Garden Tour.

Six spectacular gardens will be featured when the Historic Boston-Edison Association host its Second Annual Garden Tour,  Saturday, June 18, 2011.  The highlight of this year’s event will be the opportunity to view rare flowers and distinctive landscapes.  Detroit history buffs will have the unique opportunity to stroll the streets of one of Detroit’s most renowned historic districts.

The Garden Tour will feature an enchanting Cottage garden filled with delightful roses, a garden with lush greenery and harmonious spaces and a recently rejuvenated garden with a display of floral opulence.

Before and after touring the gardens, guests are invited to visit Voigt Park for continental breakfast and lunch.  During the tour experience, individuals interested in possibly calling Boston-Edison home may speak with realtors who will host an Open House event on that day.

The day is designed to allow attendees to experience Boston-Edison at their own pace with the option of riding a shuttle to designated stops.

Tickets for the event are $15.00 per person in advance and may be purchased the day of the event at $20.00 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Voigt Park (located between Longfellow and Edison; Second and Third Streets).
