Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain Citrix servers and related thin client equipment
- Set up, configure, move or replace hardware at workstations as needed
- Maintain department records, physical asset inventory, and departnt workspaces
- Monitor and maintain Xen-hosted virtualized servers and services including Microsoft OS’s, Active Directory, Exchange, MSSQL, and Citrix
- Monitor and help to maintain a multi-switch (HP ProCurve) fiber and copper network infrastructure
- Provide support for ±50 users at all levels of the organization on a multi-building campus
- Provide help desk (first tier equivelent) support for Microsoft Office applications
- Coordinate with process instrumentation staff to maintain control computers and related network infrastructure
- Monitor, maintain, and perform minor re-configurations of our Avaya telephone system
- Work with outside consultants and tech support technicians as necessary
- Maintain, or work with vendors to maintain copiers, printers, and other networked office equipment as needed
- Directly assist the department manager with major IT improvement projects as needed
Requirements
An Associates degree is required, preferably in Information Technology or related field. A Bachelor degree is a plus.
Two or more years experience in an Enterprise environment with three or more servers running Microsoft operating systems and services. Experience with virtualized servers, HP ProCurve switching, and/or Citrix would be helpful, but is not required.
The successful candidate will have a natural aptitude for computer technology. They’ll be reliable, exceptionally worthy of trust, and possess refined deductive reasoning skills for troubleshooting. An ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities is important, and a customer service mindset is essential.
