College Goal Sunday, February 10, 2013
The Urban League of Detroit & Southeastern Michigan will host the annual College goal Sunday event on February 10, 2013.
Our goal is to help college-bound students, who qualify for undergraduate admission to a college or technical school in fall of 2013, as well as, their family members complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
We will have on-site financial aid experts, primarily from Michigan colleges and universities to assist with the application process. To qualify for a Pell Grant all students, regardless of age, will need to complete the FAFSA. Your FAFSA form must be received by the federal processor on or before March 1, 2013.
Additionally, all Twenty-first Century Scholars are required to complete and submit a FAFSA form to claim their Twenty-first Century Scholarships. Should you or your parents have additional questions regarding COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY, or wish to schedule an appointment please call the Urban League’s Education Department at (313) 831-5133 or 5137 immediately. We look forward to assisting with the completion of your FAFSA applications on February 10, 2013.
Also, we are looking for adult volunteer to assist the students with completing their financial aid applications. Please go on to College Goal Sunday and register as a volunteer for the Urban League of Detroit & Southeastern Michigan site.
