MUFI North End Open House, February 27th
The Michigan Urban Farming Initiative is hosting a community engagement day on Wednesday, February 27th.
You may have noticed some work over the last year on Brush St. between Custer and Horton. This work is part of an ongoing effort to convert the space into an urban agriculture demonstration area and we want to know what you think.
Come join us for an open house to learn more about the past and present of this effort and discuss the future of urban agriculture in the North End. We want to hear your comments, answer your questions, and address any concerns. We are also looking for members of the North End community to be a part of a community advisory board that will work with the Michigan Urban Farming Initiative to create resources that are truly valuable to the North End.
The event will take place on Wednesday, February 27th from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Vanguard Community Development Corporation which is located at 2785 E. Grand Blvd. Detroit, MI 48211. You can come at any time and stay for as long as you want. Please feel free to bring your friends, family, and an appetite as free food will be provided. We will have pizza, subs, salads, and beverages at 4:30 pm.
