Food for 200 to 250 persons will again be professionally prepared by VP catering.

The Detroit Recreation Department will host its 4th annual Thanks and Praise Luncheon on Thursday, November 18, at the Belle Isle Casino.
For a $5 donation, you can enjoy a buffet luncheon, music, and possibly win a door prize! Tickets are available at the Butzel Family, Patton, Williams, and Farwell recreation centers.

FREE HOT CHOCOLATE & COFFEE DURING THANKSGIVING PARADE
DPM TO PROVIDE FREE HOT CHOCOLATE AND COFFEE DURING THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
How’s this for a real heart — and hand — warmer: for one day – November 25 – the Detroit People Mover (DPM) will provide free hot chocolate and coffee during the Thanksgiving Day parade, across the street from the DPM Grand Circus Park stop.
Sponsored by WADL TV 38, the DPM “Family / Patron Station” inside Angelina Italian Bistro will give away complimentary hot chocolate and coffee starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The restaurant is located at 1565 Broadway, on the first floor of the old Madison Theater Building and across from the Detroit Opera House. All free beverages and giveaways will be available until noon or while supplies last. In addition, the Detroit People Mover will distribute free children’s Santa antlers (reindeer hats) and December transit passes. Visitors will also have an opportunity to submit their best wishes for Detroit in the New Year.
