Kids-TALK CAC Poetry Slam
In response to Child Abuse Prevention Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Kids-TALK Children’s Advocacy Center in Detroit presents its 3rd Annual Youth Poetry Slam on April 25th! Once again, we are teaming up with the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit and have an exciting evening planned with Slam Master La Shaun phoenix Moore.
With nearly 5,000 confirmed victims of child abuse and neglect in Wayne County each year, Kids-TALK CAC is dedicated to ending violence against children in our community — but we know the most powerful voices are those of children themselves. Please help us identify area youth to participate in the Poetry Slam.
If you have any questions, would like to register a poet, or want to get involved, please contact Kids-TALK CAC’s Community Outreach Coordinator, Lacea Zavala at: Lzavala@iamtgc.net or 734-785-7705 x7291.
